Terms of Reference (TOR) : Business Development OfficerObjective: The objective of this position is to selling freight and coordinate with suppliers/clients, track shipments, handle documentation, promote sales of warehouse space within the free zone, and contribute to overall business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Included, but not limited to 1. Coordinate the transfer of parts, machinery, and services from the UAE to anywhere in the World, ensuring all client demands are satisfied. 2. Negotiate with shipping lines for containers, manage shipment-related issues, and obtain shipping documents from suppliers and forwarders. 3. Consolidate shipments in the most cost-effective way to optimize logistics operations. 4. Negotiate with forwarders/forwarding agents for the best prices, reasonable payment terms, and a high level of service. 5. Process forwarding agent invoices and submit them to the Accounts Department on time. Liaise with both parties to resolve any payment issues that may arise. 6. Prepare and update the export shipment summary list, insurance report, and other weekly and monthly reports as required. 7. Timely filing of shipping documents to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational requirements. 8. Promote and sell warehouse space within the free zone, targeting industries and businesses that require logistics and storage solutions. 9. Identify potential clients for warehouse space, conduct market research, and develop strategies to attract and secure new customers. 10. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction. 11. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns, including digital marketing efforts, to promote warehouse space and generate leads. 12. Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase the advantages and features of the company's warehouse facilities within the free zone. 13. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of warehouse space contracts. 14. Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and changes within the logistics and real estate industry to provide strategic insights and recommendations for business development. 15. Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and market developments related to warehouse space to management on a regular basis. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. \xc2\xb7 Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with specific experience in the UAE market. \xc2\xb7 Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the logistics industry, including shipping, warehousing, and supply chain processes. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with the local business landscape, market trends, and regulations in the UAE. \xc2\xb7 UAE Drivers license is a must \xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): \xc2\xb7 Number of new clients acquired for warehouse space within the free zone. \xc2\xb7 Revenue generated from warehouse space sales. \xc2\xb7 Conversion rate of leads into signed contracts. \xc2\xb7 Client satisfaction and retention rates. \xc2\xb7 Timeliness and accuracy in preparing and submitting reports. \xc2\xb7 Effectiveness in negotiating favorable terms with shipping lines and other forwarders. \xc2\xb7 Contribution to the overall growth and profitability of the organization.
