Position Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for acquiring, developing, and retaining a customer base within our Air & Sea freight division. This is where you come in: Reporting into the Air & Sea Branch Manager, our driven, experienced, and entrepreneurial Business Development Managers will maintain and develop relationships with existing a portfolio of accounts whilst maximising all sales opportunities by winning new business. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who wants full autonomy in a role which allows you to experience what its like to run your own business! Our Ideal Person:
5+ years of business development experience within the UAE working for a freight forwarder.
Commercially focused with a strong passion for customer service.
Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.
A confident communicator with a passion for their work.
Has the ability to be a self-starter, build own sales pipeline as well as manage customer accounts and relationships.
Ability to work successfully in an autonomous role.
In this role, you will:
Establish new overseas agencies & approve either exclusive or non-exclusive agency agreements, as well as gaining best buying rates from agent network for the organisations business.
Find a selection of agents across the globe using different cargo networking sources.
Attain business enhancement with existing agents, re-profiling & looking for more opportunities & organically grow the business.
Focus on Business development, identify / develop new business opportunities & ensure consistent revenue growth.
Consistently achieve sales targets, demonstrating work ethic and confidence in achieving challenging individual targets.
Actively promoting the brand and always provide exceptional customer service.
Self-generate appointments and leads to maximise revenue.
Obtain and maintain excellent knowledge of Europa products and services.
Generate progress reports to the management team when required, whilst maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all business within the role.
Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager, commensurate with the role.
