A Business Development Specialist in an interior fitout and joinery company plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:
Responsibilities
1. •Market Research and Analysis:•
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends in the interior fitout and joinery industry.
- Analyze competitors and market conditions to inform strategic planning.
2. •Client Acquisition:•
- Identify and target potential clients in sectors such as commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
3. •Relationship Management:•
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
4. •Proposal Development:•
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the design and project management teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs.
5. •Sales Strategy and Execution:•
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Track and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
6. •Networking:•
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build a network of contacts and raise the company's profile.
- Represent the company in various industry forums.
7. •Collaboration:•
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that support business development efforts.
- Coordinate with project management and design teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Requirements
1. •Education and Experience:•
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the interior fitout, joinery, or construction industry.
2. •Skills:•
- Strong understanding of the interior fitout and joinery industry, including trends, materials, and processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals.
