Job Summary:
The Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for sales growth and expanding the company's market presence in Dubai's competitive construction sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and leading the sales process from prospecting to closing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the construction industry, particularly in the Dubai market, and will be adept at navigating the local regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet the company's revenue targets. Identify target markets and clients, and create plans to approach and convert leads into sales.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction sector, including new projects, partnerships, and markets. Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders. Regularly engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Proposal and Bid Management: Collaborate with the project management and estimating teams to prepare competitive bids and proposals. Ensure that all submissions align with client expectations and project specifications.
• Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients to secure new contracts. Ensure that all agreements are favorable to the company and meet profitability targets.
• Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities. Use this information to inform business development strategies.
• Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Develop a network of contacts within the construction industry in Dubai to support business growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, finance, and project management teams to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, business development activities, and market conditions. Prepare forecasts and pipeline reports.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales and business development within the construction industry, preferably in Dubai or the UAE.
• Strong understanding of the Dubai construction market, including local regulations and market dynamics.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
