The development of new relationships and continuous involvement in the end to end sales process for securing job award is a critical part of the role. JOB CONTEXT (Important features of Job internal & external environment framework) Internal: Sales, Estimation, Design, Operations, Accounts External: Clients & Vendors/Subcontractors Covers all accounting tasks prescribed and instructed by the department head Main Responsibilities: (Listed in order of priority)Key tasks and accountabilities are intended to guide the range and level of work expected of the post holder. This is not an extensive list of all tasks that may fall to the post holder and employees will be expected to carry out such other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time. \xc2\xb7 To acquire profitable business for the company \xc2\xb7 Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships \xc2\xb7 Seek customers in company target markets through research and direct contact with potential customers \xc2\xb7 Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities. \xc2\xb7 Drive the sales process from inquiry/RFP coordination through Closing the Deal \xc2\xb7 Provide support with preparation of quotations, pre-qualifications and tenders within set deadlines \xc2\xb7 Motivates and provides leadership to accomplish the team goals \xc2\xb7 Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with company management to prepare and implement the companys Marketing and Business Development Plan and strategy for meeting business goals \xc2\xb7 Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, customer news, and developments through market study and research \xc2\xb7 Lead the development of Pre-Qualifications, formal presentations and marketing materials for the company \xc2\xb7 Ensure all communication with customers are in accordance with our standards and correct in content and format \xc2\xb7 Solicit customer feedback through the project proposal and execution phases \xc2\xb7 Maintain customer/potential customer contact lists \xc2\xb7 Identify and provide to management potential areas for expansion based on market exposure and analysis \xc2\xb7 Ensure maximum utilization of company owned equipment available for hire(e.g. Dredgers, DOP Pumps etc) \xc2\xb7 Ensure all quotations/tenders are sent out in a timely manner COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATION REQUIRED Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or similar field of study Minimum 5 years or more years of progressive business development, sales, project management experience in the contracting/construction and/or engineering related industry. Technical experience in Marine Contracting field preferred Job Type: Full-time Experience:
