DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



The Business Analyst will support the Regional Head of Operations to plan and execute the operational business strategies and enable properties in the Middle East, Europe, India & Americas (MEIA) region to own their success.



The Business Analyst delivers technical & analytical support to provide data-driven performance insights and decision making on revenue management metrics including, but not limited to, market share performance, pricing effectiveness, booking pace by segment and tier, market segmentation, channels, and source market trends. The business analyst will also support with:



Monitor and measure the financial performance of the Region.

Deliver actionable monthly and quarterly reporting for Senior Leadership.

Use data and reports generated by the various reporting systems (IDEAS, TM1, Blueprint) and completes own analyses of operating results, trends and variations in results vs. expectations to identify gaps and shortfalls.

Use data analysis to assist with actual/potential control issues and process improvement opportunities.

Partner with hotel leadership to identify appropriate performance gaps and present a summary to the senior leadership.

Analyze Hotel performance and identify areas for enhancement.

Conduct market research on trends and major economic indicators.

Researches and collects information from various sources relating to market data, historical cycles, travel and tourism trends, and market dynamics.

Maintain dashboards and other tools used in data analysis.

Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

Assist in analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in quantitative discipline (finance, computer science, operations research, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.) and minimum 2 years' related work experience

Language Requirements: proficiency in English is required (speaking, reading, and writing)



Technical Requirements:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required.

At least one of the following: statistical analysis software skills, business intelligence and reporting software skills, data visualization skills is required.

Tableau or Power BI experience preferred.
