We are seeking a passionate and experienced Brisket Chief to lead our barbecue program. The ideal candidate is a pitmaster who lives and breathes barbecue, with a deep understanding of low-and-slow cooking techniques and a love for crafting the perfect brisket.
Responsibilities:
• Brisket Mastery: Manage all aspects of brisket production, from trimming and seasoning to smoking and slicing.
• Menu Development: Contribute to menu innovation, creating unique brisket-centric dishes and specials.
• Pit Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of our smokers and barbecue equipment.
• Team Leadership: Train and mentor a team of barbecue cooks, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
• Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels of meats, spices, and other barbecue essentials.
• Quality Control: Ensure that every brisket that leaves the pit meets our exceptional standards for flavor and tenderness.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience as a pitmaster or barbecue chef , with a demonstrable expertise in brisket preparation.
- Passion for Barbecue: A deep love for the art and science of barbecue, with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to achieve shared goals.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire a team, creating a positive and productive work environment.
- Culinary Creativity: A talent for developing new and exciting barbecue dishes that showcase the versatility of brisket.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours on your feet in a hot and demanding environment.
