Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of Breakfast Dishes : Cook a range of popular South Indian breakfast items such as idli , dosa , upma , pongal , vada , poori , appam , and uttapam .
• Ingredient Management : Ensure proper preparation of batter for items like idli and dosa , and manage ingredients like rice, lentils, spices, and vegetables.
• Sambar & Chutney : Prepare traditional accompaniments such as sambar (lentil soup) and a variety of chutneys (coconut chutney, tomato chutney, etc.).
• Maintaining Hygiene : Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
• Time Management : Prepare breakfast items in a timely manner, especially during peak hours.
• Cooking Equipment : Operate and maintain cooking equipment such as griddles (tawas) , steamers , and blenders .
• Menu Development : Assist in the development of breakfast menus by suggesting new dishes or variations based on customer preferences.
• Inventory Management : Keep track of ingredients and notify the supervisor when stocks are running low.
• Customer Satisfaction : Ensure that the food is of the highest quality, and take care in presentation and taste to satisfy customer expectations.
