Role Purpose:
A brand specialist will utilize sales knowledge in the marine, hull and deck construction, safety, and hardware & accessories industries to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets for commercial finishing products, including but not limited to mounting systems, marine hardware, safety equipment, and deck materials. The specialist will collaborate closely with clients and suppliers to align strategies and effectively meet company objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
• Cultivate strong relationships with designers, naval architects, boat builders, marine contractors, and construction firms to secure projects involving marine hardware, safety systems, hull, and deck materials.
• Identify and engage new end-user customers to establish long-term agreements, coordinating with key supply and installation processes.
• Analyze project documents to draft accurate hardware and safety equipment schedules ensuring compliance with marine installation standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends to demonstrate products to customers and identify potential projects and market opportunities.
• Conduct product training for naval architects and specifiers to enhance integration of hull, deck, safety, and hardware products.
• Deliver effective sales presentations to meet customer needs and increase product awareness.
• Provide expert advice on product selection and application to boost sales in marine and construction sectors.
• Communicate sales insights to drive territory growth in hull and deck construction, safety, and hardware & accessories sectors.
• Maintain CRM records and generate sales forecasts for management.
• Collaborate internally to streamline project processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify case study opportunities and collaborate with marketing for promotion.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adapt strategies.
• Coordinate projects, tenders, and technical support with suppliers and internal teams.
Secondary Duties:
• Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing training, seminars, and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
• Master's/Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with project management skills.
• ERP software knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting marine architectural drawings and building plans.
• Technical aptitude for mechanical products, especially in hull, deck, and safety equipment.
Required Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in the marine, hull and deck construction, safety, or hardware industries.
• Proven track record in sales growth, key account management, and business development in marine and related sectors.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with architects, developers, and marine contractors.
