- Ensuring that safe working practices are strictly adhered to all the times.


- Receiving daily work orders from the chief officer and organize the crew accordingly.


- Supervising and work with the ratings to ensure that daily tasks are being carried out efficiently and economically.


- Operating the windlass for anchoring the vessel, deck equipments and assist at mooring stations.


- Supervises deck anchor handling operations.






Skills Required


- Certificate in performing Navigational watch keeping (II/4) from approved nautical Institute.


- Minimum 4 years experience as able bodied seaman on board anchor handling tugs inside Offshore Oilfields.


- Good communication skills.


- Good understanding of safe practices related to anchor handling / towing operations.
