Job Description

As the Body and Paint Repair Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the body repair and paint operations within our automotive service center. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate workflow, and ensure high-quality repairs and paint finishes on vehicles, contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of our repair department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of body repair technicians and paint specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Coordinate workflow and prioritize repair jobs to ensure efficient and timely completion of work orders.
• Inspect vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality standards are met and repairs are completed according to industry guidelines.
• Oversee paint mixing, application, and finishing processes, ensuring color accuracy, gloss, and durability of paint finishes.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, tools, and materials used in body repair and paint operations, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with service advisors and customers to discuss repair options, cost estimates, and timelines for completion.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, paint jobs, materials used, and hours worked by team members.
• Train and mentor team members on repair techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the body repair and paint department.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience of 3 to 5 years in body repair and paint operations, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques, paint mixing, and application processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and paint finishes.
• Technical training in automotive body repair and paint is a plus
