Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Management System (BMS) Technician and Lighting Control Technician to join our service field team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, automation, and controls, with specialized knowledge in BMS and lighting control technologies. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting BMS and lighting control systems in various facilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and configure BMS and lighting control systems according to customer requirements.

2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of BMS and lighting control systems.

3. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to BMS and lighting control systems, including software and hardware malfunctions.

4. Perform repairs and replacements of defective components, such as sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication modules.

5. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement system upgrades, expansions, and enhancements.

6. Provide technical support and training to end-users and facility team on the operation and maintenance of BMS and lighting control systems.

7. Document all service activities, including inspections, maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades, in detailed reports and service logs.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering , automation, or a related field preferred.

2. Proven experience of at least 2-3 years working as a technician in the field of building management systems, automation, or controls.

3. In-depth knowledge of BMS protocols and standards (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and lighting control technologies.

4. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

6. Familiarity with programming and configuring BMS software platforms.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with clients and colleagues.

8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
