Our clients include multinationals and SMEs, governments, non-governmental organisations, supra-nationals, and non-governmental organisations.The Biomedical Engineer is the responsible person for ensuring all medical equipment is maintained, calibrated, repaired and in good working condition at all times, during deployments and while in home base.The key roles and responsibilities of the BMET Engineer is:
Overall medical equipment maintenance and inspection
Calibrate all equipment on deployment
Preventative maintenance of all equipment on a regular basis
Inspection of faulty equipment and on-site repairs or off-site OEM repairs
Training of clinical staff in use of specific medical equipment and accessories
Advise to clinical team on specific equipment requirements
Set up and manage the BMET capability within the project, supporting BMET requirements.
Preparing equipment status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information within the BME Smartcare cloud software application.
Evaluate the requirements for BMET calibration equipment for each department as needed.
Coordinating the evaluation, repair and final disposition of equipment Iqarus owned or client owned equipment as required to maintain capability within the various departments
Evaluate, interview and make recommendations on hiring of new BMET technicians.
Support, as required, the Procurement team in the sourcing of medical equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years management or operations experience, preferably in a challenging geographical location
10 Years experience as BioMedical Maintenance Technician
Experience of working in a busy healthcare system essential
Good knowledge of administrative processes
Good IT skills (Word, Excel and Outlook a minimum)
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent planning and organising skills, and accuracy and attention to detail
Offshore BOSIET/HUET training mandatory entry requirements
