:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Specialist xe2x80x93 MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to join our team!Key Responsibilities:1. BIM Model Development & Management:Develop, update, and maintain accurate 3D models for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) in accordance with project specifications and BIM standards.Coordinate with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, Civil) to ensure seamless integration of the MEP systems within the overall design.Support the clash detection process to resolve design conflicts early in the project lifecycle.2. Coordination & Collaboration:Work closely with project engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure MEP design intent is accurately represented in the BIM model.Participate in coordination meetings to address design or construction issues, proposing solutions based on BIM data.Ensure that MEP designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:Provide technical support for project teams using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks etcxe2x80xa6) and assist in troubleshooting model-related issues.Conduct regular model audits to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of BIM data.4. Documentation & Deliverables:Generate construction drawings, schedules, and reports directly from the BIM model.Ensure that project deliverables such as drawings and models are issued in accordance with established deadlines and quality standards.5. BIM Standards & Best Practices:Ensure compliance with industry BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and company-specific BIM execution plans.Implement best practices for model management, data exchange, and document control to improve project efficiency.6. Training & Development:Provide training and guidance to project teams on BIM tools and workflows.Stay updated with advancements in BIM technology and workflows, integrating new tools or methodologies as appropriate.Required Qualifications:Education:Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Experience:Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on MEP systems and BIM management.Technical Skills:Proficient in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Dynamo etcxe2x80xa6Experience in clash detection and resolution.Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration with architectural and structural models.Familiarity with industry BIM standards (ISO 19650) and project execution plans.Soft Skills:Strong communication and coordination skills.Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Preferred Qualifications:Professional certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit MEP).Experience in large-scale construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments.Familiarity with energy analysis, sustainability considerations, or other advanced BIM functions.Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
