Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ELV-BIM MODELLER/ENGINEER

Autodesk Certification REVIT, AutoCAD, DYNAMO, COBie

Experience

4 to 6 years of experience

Education

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in BIM software & Tools such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, DiRoots, Dynamo, COBie, 5D cost analysis, Revit family creation etc.
• Strong understanding of ELV systems design principles, components, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards governing ELV systems in the GCC region.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality BIM models.
• Candidate should be responsible for provided task and work to achieve proper and productive output

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop detailed BIM models of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, including structured cabling, security, communication, and Audio-visual systems, Fire Alarm, Public Address, Voice Evacuation, Panic Alarm, Gate Security, Scanning using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate ELV systems seamlessly into building designs and construction plans.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate representation of ELV systems within the BIM environment.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other trades to resolve clashes and conflicts in ELV systems and ensure coordination with other building components.
• Conduct clash detection analysis and provide solutions to resolve conflicts between ELV systems and other building elements.

Preparation of Detailed Drawings (CAD, Revit, Navisworks,) as per project requirements. Generate 2D drawings, shop drawings, and installation plans from BIM models for construction and coordination purposes

sheet setting, template creation, schedule, BOQ, Family Creation.

Adhere to the BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria

Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in BIM and ELV system design.

Prepare MEP Design model and/or content for 3D Coordination Meetings

Revise Electrical and ELV drawings and plans as necessary to accommodate changes in design, materials, or construction methods.

Compile Electrical and ELV Engineering data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required to complete Electrical and ELV drawings.

Utilize customized tools, utilities, and scripts to automate work processes and improve AutoCAD productivity and efficiency and to comply with the company CAD standards.

Experience in creating RFI, reports and documentations.

Ensure proper backup and archiving

Mentor junior modellers and provide technical guidance on BIM modelling techniques and standards.
