Reports to: BIM Information Manager

Summary

The BIM Modeler will provide drafting and modeling support to project teams. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically Revit-MEP, Navisworks and AutoCAD. Candidates must have a minimum of two years' experience working on BIM Modeling and CAD.

In this entry-level role, the BIM Modeler will be exposed to all aspects of a BIM project (BIM Modeling, Model Administration, Documentation, Scheduling, Library Creation etc.) and is expected to quickly gain the necessary working knowledge of project guidelines, processes, and techniques to BIM projects profitably, meeting the time, resources and budget objectives of the project.

General Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BIM models for MEP elements as per project standards.
• BIM modeling, CAD drafting and design support.
• Integrate and develop Revit models from point cloud data.
• Update and revise Building Information Models as needed.
• Prepare documentation for distributing RFIs and maintain updated BIM models with RFI responses.
• Develop new BIM model library components and create Revit families.
• Set up and maintain control logs (RFIs, as-built, etc.) and assist with construction coordination.
• Generate drawing sets and export files in various formats for collaboration.
• Identify and resolve model constructability issues.
• Provide BIM modeling, CAD drafting, and design support.
• Integrate and develop Revit models from point cloud data and maintain MEP content libraries.
• Ensure all work is complete and accurate, using quality control checklists.
• Submit work according to deadlines and provide detailed time accounting.
• Complete printing and plotting requests.
• Scan to BIM, which involve converting point cloud data from laser scans into accurate BIM models.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements

• An Engineering Bachelor Degree of the related field.
• At Least Three years of Revit MEP, Autodesk ReCap, Auto CAD experience, and Navisworks experience.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) Certification.
• Understanding of Construction Documentation.
• Knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ELV and related Building Information Modeling software.
• Experience in working with Transco projects is preferred
