Job Overview
At Jensen Hughes , we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a BIM Manager to join our dynamic team in the Middle East.In this role you will be responsible for managing a small BIM/CAD department (4 to 5 Technicians), focused on production of Fire & Life Safety, Fire Engineering Systems and Security Revit Models and AutoCAD Drawings. The workload is diversified across a number of different sectors, from transportation (aviation and rail), to buildings and also Infrastructure / Masterplanning.
This role wil be based in Dubai , UAE.
Responsibilities
• Lead FLS and Security BIM management for large and complex projects
• Liaise with Engineers and Team Leaders to understand Revit/CAD workload for the team and proactively distribute work to the team
• Use workload forecasting tools to manage short, medium and long term workload
• Manage Revit/CAD Technicians across offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar
• Manage timelines and delivery
• Ensure Technical Quality
• Ensure QA/QC processes are strictly adhered to
• Train Technicians in Revit where required
• Keep abreast of latest developments in both Revit and AutoCAD
• Coordinate with BIM/Revit/CAD Managers from other regions within Jensen Hughes to distribute excess workload to other regions/offices
• Carry out Technical work themselves as well as carrying out the Managerial role (anticipated approximately 70% Technical work and 30% Managerial and Coordination work)
Requirements and Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years industry experience
• Minimum of 4 years experience with Revit and AutoCAD
• Minimum of 2 years experience with BIM
• Must have AutoCAD and Revit experience
• Specifically have experience in a facet of Fire and Life Safety, Fire Systems Engineering and/or Security CAD/Revit/BIM production
• Excellent Communications skills
• Experience in managing a small team of CAD/Revit Technicians
• An additional advantage would be having some rudimentary Design experience (not a prerequisite)
• Excellent People Management skills
