Join us.The BIM Coordinator (Site based) will work closely with the Client\'s Master Planning and design team to assist and support in developing and producing designs for the project site to ensure designs are developed and implemented to approved codes and standards.Works under general supervision performing advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers. Responsible for an infrastructure project. May train and supervise workflow.Undertakes and manages allocated CAD production and other technical work tasks to agreed deadlines, and standards (industry & project), and in accordance with the project plan.Job Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks for drawings to ensure proper standards have been followed, plans have north arrows, proper legends are incorporated, cover sheet is created and up-to-date, index of drawings.
Define and agree the data classification structure/parameters to be used enabling scheduling of relevant information and creation of information rich components, assemblies and systems for the purpose of cost estimation, construction and asset management. In addition develop and use parameters to reference project specification.
Create collaborative models and lead \'design review\' meetings, \'walking\' through the model, creating \'saved views\' and identifying potential conflicts if not executed by discipline leads.
Transfer modelling content from one party to another.
Validate the level of detail and controls as defined for each project phase.
Validate modelling content during each phase.
Prepare quantity take-offs, visualisations, schedule of quantities.
Support the development and coordination of the constructability and schedule simulation model.
Upload native BIM files, IFCs and XLS data to the Expo City Dubai BIM Data
Develop and maintain BIM object library throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum requirements: * Have experience in Infrastructure projects done on Civil 3D
Have experience in using Revit and AutoCAD
Have experience in coordination between different disciplines
Have experience in BIM Common Data Environments such as BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
Have experience in preparing quantity take-offs using BIM tools
Have experience in preparing CAD drawings that are extracted from the BIM model
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related curriculum (or equivalent) and typically 6+ years of related experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles.
Proficiency in BIM Software: Mastery of BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP,
Bentley MicroStation, Infraworks, is essential for creating and managing building models
Strong command of GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS,
Autodesk Autocad, Revit / Navisworks experience
