The Role

Our International Main Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a seasoned BIM Coordinator to join their team in Abu Dhabi at prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a BIM Coordinator on major high rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of BIM Coordinator for a Main Contracting company working on high rise projects. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client. Key Responsibilities: o Coordinate and participate in the development of 3D models and associated documentation, such as the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) o Apply BIM and CAD technologies to project designs. o Coordinate the Engineering Team on project sites using expertise in Building Information Modelling software. o Enforce and set up models according to the BEP. o Create, maintain, and manage a central database that hosts all models and their content under BIM management control. o Regularly audit, integrate, and validate information to ensure the BIM model's robustness. o Manage the quality and quantity of model information. o Arrange QC/QA meetings and set agendas. o Manage model updates and ensure file stability and integrity. o Maintain a database of all BIM elements, standards, families, and 2D/3D content. o Develop shared data and relationships between models (e.g., grids, floor levels, shared project coordinates) o Establish, create, and maintain drawing sheets and visibility settings. o Incorporate updates, changes, revisions, clash detections, and BIM requests into models after review and approval. o Coordinate production and models across multiple disciplines, including those provided by subcontractors. o Ensure Modelers follow the BEP. o Create federated Navisworks models and distribute them to the project team. o Set up and run weekly inter-disciplinary clash detection tests in Navisworks and issue periodic reports. o Participate in BIM Meetings



Requirements

BIM Coordinator Experience: o Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (5-year course) o Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 / ACC Docs, and Design Collaboration, Power BI, Synchro 4D o Familiarity with BIM processes aligned to ISO 19650 o Civil 3D experience is a plus o Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and infrastructure architecture, coordinating subcontractors and construction teams, and liaising with clients. o Ability to propose finishes and alternatives, with a good understanding of materials. o Highly experienced in Navisworks; 4D experience with Synchro. o Excellent communication skills o Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities o Capable of task planning and time management o Possess analytical and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work under pressure and manage change effectively
