Your responsibilities include:
• Create detailed 3D models of urban landscapes, buildings, infrastructure, and other elementsusing BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD) to accurately visualize and simulate proposed urban developments.
• Generate precise 2D drawings, plans, and blueprints using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to communicate design concepts, construction details, and spatial arrangements effectively.
• Conduct spatial analysis, energy modelling, and sustainability assessments to evaluate the performance and viability of master planning designs and propose optimizations where necessary.
• Ensure that master planning designs comply with local zoning regulations, building codes, environmental standards and other relevant legal requirements.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams involved in urban planning projects, including architects, engineers, landscape architects, and urban designers.
• Conduct site visits and fieldwork to assess existing conditions, evaluate design opportunities and constraints, and gather information for design development.
• Assist in site analysis, including the study of topography, infrastructure and existing buildings.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in BIM, CAD, urban planning, and related fields, and actively seek opportunities for professional development and skills enhancement.
• Assist in developing and presenting land budget calculations and master plan development statistics tabulations.
What you will need:
• A bachelor's degree in architecture, urban design, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or other 3D modelling and visualization tools, as well as MS Office Tools, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of master planning principles, land use regulations, and sustainability concepts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
• Familiarity with GIS software, energy modelling tools, and rendering software is preferred.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are a plus.
