Job Description

The roleWe are hiring a Billing Assistant into the Legal Administration team in our Dubai office.In many of our offices, \'Hubs\' have transformed how PA services are delivered; with team members sharing the workload. Hubs also provide opportunities for developing a broader range of skills for pursuing a defined career path, networking and knowledge-sharing.This role sits within the CERE Hub working closely with the PA and Finance teams.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Taking responsibility to ensure work is undertaken in the most appropriate way to maximise efficiency
  • Managing expectations in terms of deadlines and outcome of tasks assigned
  • Client take-on and opening of matters in iManage
  • Processing invoices and simple expense claims
  • Develop expertise in the firms complex billing system, processes and key client billing requirements
  • Understanding the end-to-end billing process including creating standard bills, disbursements, amending narratives and raising credit notes
  • Document and share client billing requirements with PA team
  • Work closely with credit control team to resolve billing reversals, client queries and keep track of provision of invoices to clients
  • Ensure urgent billing requests are promptly communicated to the appropriate PA and fee earners
  • Be a flexible team member who provides billing guidance and assistance to different areas of the business
  • Ensure clear and concise record keeping relating to billing tasks undertaken and correct filing of tasks and supporting materials (e.g. email instructions / discussions)
ABOUT YOU
  • Previous experience using SAP - essential
  • Previous experience within a professional services environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in particular advanced Excel experience
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 6 and above or equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
