We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in billing and invoicing. They will also have excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail, as accuracy is crucial in this role.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on services rendered
Ensure that all billing information is correct and in compliance with company policies
Monitor and track outstanding payments and follow-up with clients to ensure timely payments
Enter and update billing data into accounting software system
Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues that may arise
Maintain and update client billing records and files
Provide regular reports on billing process and financial data to management
Assist in developing and documenting billing procedures and policies
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and resolve any outstanding issues
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
1 year of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in a professional services setting
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
