Job Description

:Key Job Responsibilities
  • Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the FM project requirements.
  • Estimate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and any other overheads required for the estimation for a project. This may include analyzing historical data, conducting market research, and consulting with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Create detailed and competitive bid proposals that outline the estimated costs, timelines, and any other relevant information necessary for project submission.
  • Analyze and compare estimates to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and areas for optimization.
  • Work closely with Project Heads, BDM, and Engineers to ensure that project estimates align with project goals and timelines.
  • Arrange site visits, follow ups in coordination with survey team or company.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for materials and services. * Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documents. Ensure that all documentation complies with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market pricing, and regulatory changes that may impact project costs.
  • Ensure that the final estimate is accurate and complete, considering all variables that may affect project costs.
  • Attending all pre-bid meetings and post bid meetings.
  • Preparation feasibility reports on tender process. Assist BDM whether to proceed with a bid or avoid based on factual reasons.
  • Cost Estimation.

  • Risk Assessment.
  • Bid preparation and submission.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Procurement of subcontracts.
Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 5 years as an Estimator in the FM, hospitality / services industry.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with suppliers or subcontractors.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with the local market, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
