Job Title: Bartender
Reports To: Bar Manager or Restaurant Manager
Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves mixing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drink Preparation:
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes or customer requests.
• Garnish and present drinks attractively.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Engage with customers to create a pleasant experience.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Bar Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Cash Handling:
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Process payments and give correct change.
• Knowledge and Compliance:
• Stay updated on bar menu changes, new beverages, and promotions.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Understand and adhere to state and local alcohol laws.
