1. Key Responsibility areas & activities
Prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages following established recipes and standards.
Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, efficiently and safely.
Take customer orders, provide recommendations, and process payments accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized coffee preparation area.
Ensure the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients.
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries and special requests.
Prepare and serve pastries or snacks as needed.
Promote seasonal or specialty coffee offerings to customers.
Monitor and restock coffee supplies, including beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
Assist in opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
Participate in training and workshops to enhance coffee knowledge and barista skills.
Requirements
1. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is beneficial.
Job Specific Skills:
Proficiency in coffee-making techniques and equipment operation.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of coffee bean varieties and flavours.
Basic math skills for processing payments.
