The role includes maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall guest experience by delivering beverages with consistency and skill.
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks, following standardized recipes and techniques.
Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, taking orders accurately, answering questions about the menu, and offering recommendations.
Process transactions using the point-of-sale system, handle cash and credit card payments, and ensure accurate billing.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Stay informed about new products and promotions.
Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other ingredients, and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
Keep the work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized. Ensure that the coffee machine and other equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
Serve beverages with attention to detail, ensuring that each drink is presented attractively and meets the hotel's quality standards.
Work closely with other F&B team members to ensure a seamless service experience for guests, including coordinating with kitchen staff and servers.
Promote and upsell additional items such as pastries, snacks, and specialty beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
Desired Skill & Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent; barista training or certification is a plus.
Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and basic math skills for handling transactions.
Ability to stand for long periods, operate coffee machines and other equipment, and lift items such as boxes of supplies.
