The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and brewed coffee, according to established recipes and standards.
Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
Ensure the quality and consistency of beverages by following precise measurements and brewing methods.
Greet and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Provide recommendations on coffee and tea selections based on guests\' preferences.
Address guest inquiries and resolve any complaints promptly and courteously.
Handle cash, credit card, and room charge payments accurately.
Upsell additional items such as pastries, snacks, and merchandise to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf\xc3\xa9 area, including counters, tables, and seating areas.
Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
Follow all health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
Monitor and replenish stock levels of coffee beans, teas, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
Assist in inventory counts and order supplies as needed.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of products to maintain freshness.
Work closely with other staff and hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in training new baristas and sharing knowledge about coffee and tea preparation.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving service and operations.
Desired Skill & Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role in a caf\xc3\xa9 or restaurant is preferred.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
