As a Bar Server at a 4-star hotel, you will be an essential part of a Food and Beverage team, providing exceptional service to guests in our bar and lounge area. You will play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering prompt, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus, providing recommendations and answering questions about beverage options and specials.
Take and accurately input guests\' orders into the POS system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in recording drink preferences and any modifications.
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, and specialty drinks, following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, checking in regularly to ensure their needs are met and promptly addressing any concerns or requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area, including cleaning tables, bar tops, and equipment, and restocking supplies as needed.
Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines and legal regulations, including verifying the age and identification of guests, and refusing service to intoxicated individuals.
Upsell and promote additional menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Collaborate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure timely delivery of food orders and coordinate service flow during peak periods.
Process guest payments accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and electronic payments in compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
Attend training sessions and staff meetings to enhance product knowledge, improve service skills, and stay informed about new menu items and promotions.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a server or bartender in a restaurant, bar, or hotel environment, with a strong understanding of beverage service and mixology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including proper pouring, mixing, and garnishing methods, as well as familiarity with different types of glassware and bar tools.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for processing orders and handling payments accurately.
