Key Responsibilities:
1. Bar Operations & Service Excellence:
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to brand standards.
Ensure prompt, professional, and engaging service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
2. Team Leadership & Training:
Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
Foster a positive, motivated, and customer-focused team environment.
3. Beverage Menu Development & Innovation:
Create and update cocktail menus with signature drinks, seasonal offerings, and premium selections.
Source high-quality ingredients and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative beverage concepts.
4. Inventory & Cost Control:
Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and minimize wastage.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
Monitor bar profitability through cost analysis and pricing strategies.
5. Guest Experience & Engagement:
Engage with guests to build loyalty and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Organize special events, promotions, or themed nights to enhance the bar's appeal.
6. Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with local alcohol licensing laws and health regulations.
Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
Maintain proper documentation for inspections and audits.
7. Financial & Reporting Duties:
Prepare and analyze bar performance reports (sales, costs, profitability).
Set and monitor sales targets, upselling strategies, and revenue goals.
Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and cost management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Diploma or degree in Hospitality, F&B Management, or related field.
Experience:
3+ years in bar management, preferably in a high-end lounge, hotel, or upscale venue.
Mixology Skills:
Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverage trends.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast) and inventory software.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Language:
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Certifications:
Food safety certification (e.g., HACCP) and alcohol service training (e.g., RBS).
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced, high-energy environment with late-night shifts and weekends.
Physical demands include standing for long hours and lifting/moving stock.
