The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise and knowledge in ballet technique, a profound understanding of anatomy, and a passion for nurturing students of all ages in their journey through ballet and lyrical dance. As a fully rounded educator, you will be responsible for teaching foundational and advanced techniques in both ballet and lyrical styles, guiding students in repertoire studies, and integrating Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) into the curriculum. You will teach across our audition only program and open classes, requiring the ability to navigate different classrooms and programs effectively. Responsibilities: 1.Provide comprehensive instruction in ballet and lyrical technique to students ranging across various ages and ability, nurturing their development and understanding. 2. Employ a deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology to aid students in cultivating proper alignment, strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. 3. Foster a supportive and encouraging environment conducive to the holistic growth of students, nurturing their development as both dancers and individuals. 4. Encourage and challenge students in their artistic journey, guiding them in exploring expression, musicality, and storytelling through ballet and lyrical dance. 5. Lead students in the exploration and performance of classical and contemporary ballet repertoire, and lyrical choreography fostering their appreciation for different styles and interpretations. 6. Implement Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) methodologies into the curriculum to enhance students\' technical proficiency, alignment, and muscle memory. 7. Collaborate effectively with fellow faculty members, staff, and parents to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students. 8. Stay up to date of advancements in ballet and lyrical pedagogy, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to continually enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Qualifications: 1.Professional background in ballet and lyrical dance, with teaching and performance experience. Additional experience teaching aerial is a bonus but not required 2. Demonstrated success in teaching across a range of age groups, with a minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience. 3. Profound knowledge and understanding of human anatomy for dance, with the ability to adapt techniques for various body types and ages. 4. Genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students, coupled with a commitment to their comprehensive development. 5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 6. Dedication to ongoing professional development, with a commitment to staying updated on evolving trends and techniques in ballet and dance education. 7. Additional skills such as personal performance experience, show choreography experience, experience preparing students for exams, and familiarity with university application processes are considered advantageous but not mandatory.
