Responsible for the entire Remedial portfolio\'s management and record keeping.
Analyse existing allocated client loan exposures, providing recommendations for restructuring to avoid default scenarios and identifying appropriate strategies for managing exposures.
Carry out detailed financial modelling and research to support the recommended strategy for resolving difficult lending situations in the best interests of the bank.
Prepare credit applications/memos as required containing detailed credit analysis and justifications for the restructuring being recommended.
Conduct and maintain portfolio reviews of vulnerable accounts.
Conduct portfolio stress testing and quarterly provisioning exercises.
Assist the CRD Management in adhoc tasks and in the execution of the overall strategy for the team.
Attend to audit (internal/ external/ Central Bank) inquiries and provide needed defence to the rational and position taken by the bank in respect of each vulnerable case.
Prepare and review documents, statements & other information requested by lawyers and Court Experts.
Responsible for all BAU, operational tasks and maintenance of MIS reports for Remedial.
Maintain up to date Remedial portfolio report.
Monitor recoveries of the assigned portfolio.
Reviewing of accounts transferred to Remedial (Internal within CRD and from Business).
Carry out tasks on accounts under restructuring or settlement agreements such as preparing repayment plan, restructuring notes / checklist and coordinate with internal stakeholders on the implementation.
Attend, review, and follow up client\'s enquiries and requests.
Coordinating with all internal stakeholders for Remedial enquiries and requests.
Carry out tasks on KYC update/refresh for customers.
Review and coordinate with internal stakeholders for the process of internally written off accounts.
Participate and involved on all clean-up projects for Remedial accounts and whole CRD team.
Portfolio Governance
To maintain an up-to-date MIS reporting & management of CRD portfolio reports.
Ensure data quality and integrity in the system and periodic reconciliations are done to maintain consistency across the CRD portfolio.
Ensure reporting of MIS and other reports are up to standard including presentation of reports.
Prepare monthly / quarterly reports on CRD accounts for Departments & higher management review.
Assist the line manager and team members to maintain CRD Policies & Procedures.
Provide robust and accurate data to assist senior CRD leadership to contribute to the management of Bank\'s overall NPL, Provision & Interests in Suspense; forward looking planning, budgeting, etc.
Take charge of all periodical management reporting.
Provide accurate and timely data to enable senior members to attend to internal, external, UAECB & any other audit; accuracy in data is key to enable the senior leadership to set targets and objectives for the overall performance of the team.
Maintain accurate and regular data for the monitoring of past due, watch list and provisioning reports.
Follow up with the team on data collection on a timely basis.
Monitor closely the bank\'s reports including past due, watch list and provisioning reports for potential new cases, report & flag out any early alert or warning sign.
Responsibility as BCP coordinator & RCSA SPOC for the department.
Represent CRD and Involved in testing, coordinating on Bank\'s new projects and systems.
JOB DIMENSIONS:Revenues/ Budget:
Demonstrates ability in the development and execution of balance sheet optimization strategies, including but not limited to recovery, restructuring, leveraged loan and acquisition finance, distressed lending, syndicated project finance.
Indirect Reports:
Experience in working directly and effectively with executives, regulators.
Demonstrates ability to establish positive relationships and inspire trust in others.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Be responsible for all data quality and integrity in the system and ensure that periodic reconciliations are done to maintain consistency across the CRD portfolio
Ensure that full cooperation with CRD officers is done with regards to annual Audit/ISO retention in line with MIS requirements.
Maintain proper follow up and coordination with legal department in case of legal action being pursued. Maintain and prepare documents, statements and other related information requested by external lawyers and Court for accounts under legal cases.
Prepare& maintain CRD MIS reports and Data presentations to be reviewed by the department Head as well as the senior management whenever required.
Evaluate the existing problematic debt exposures to identify potential work out situations and default scenarios through detailed financial analysis and research
Prepare & review financial models and challenge cash flows.
Evaluate information memorandum and independent business reviews.
