Join us and leave a legacy of your own, as a pioneer in both the company and the industry.JOB PURPOSE:The Group Fraud Risk & Investigations function is part of the group\'s Risk Management function and provides second line Fraud Risk oversight for the firm\'s front office and support / control functions.The AVP Governance & Oversight will support the Head Governance & Oversight in development, implementation and operation a robust fraud risk management governance framework. The incumbent will work closely with the Head of Governance & Oversight in ensuring alignment with the organization\'s strategic goals, manage departmental performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support in setting fraud policy, appetite threshold metrics, indicators and other mechanisms to monitor and measure the efficacy of the fraud value cycle and operational output to meet departmental objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Strategic Contribution
Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Promote the organisation\'s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.
Budgeting and Financial Performance
Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet FGB-NBAD and department requirements, policies and quality standards.
#LI-SD1QualificationsMinimum Qualification
A Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or similar field.
Relevant industry certifications e.g., CFA, FRM, CFE or similar are highly preferred.
Minimum Experience & Competencies
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking and financial industry.
Sound knowledge of the fraud related regulatory landscape in the UAE and preferred to have a sound knowledge of the fraud related regulations applicable to the international operations.
Strong analytical skills.
A Strong understanding of Bank products and associated fraud risks and fraud risk investigation processes.
