• Develop and oversee project plans for the installation and maintenance of AV and ELV systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors) to understand project requirements and ensure seamless execution.
• Define project scope, budget, and timeline , and ensure the adherence to specifications and client expectations.
• Prepare schedules for installation, maintenance, and testing, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Manage and lead a team of AV/ELV technicians, installers, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and ensuring the team adheres to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills, ensuring efficient deployment of resources.
• Monitor team performance , providing ongoing support and addressing any technical issues or skill gaps that may arise.
• Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss project progress, safety issues, and troubleshooting concerns.
• Supervise and coordinate the installation of AV and ELV systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, access control systems, public address systems, audio/video conferencing systems, and building automation.
• Ensure that all installations are compliant with local regulations, safety codes, and industry best practices.
• Test and commission systems , ensuring proper functionality, and troubleshooting any issues related to the integration of systems.
• Ensure all wiring and equipment is installed securely, labeled, and documented properly for future troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Integrate various AV and ELV systems (such as integrating AV solutions with smart building systems, or linking fire alarm systems with the BMS) for seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV/ELV systems during and after installation, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Ensure compatibility between new equipment and existing infrastructure, advising clients on potential upgrades or system improvements.
• Plan and supervise the ongoing maintenance of AV/ELV systems, including periodic inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure systems are up to date with regular software or firmware updates and that all components are functioning optimally.
• Develop and manage service contracts for regular maintenance and emergency response services.
• Provide technical training to junior technicians and team members on AV/ELV system installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated on new AV/ELV technologies and trends and continuously train the team on new products, tools, and techniques to improve performance and efficiency.
• Promote professional development for the team by encouraging certifications or courses related to AV/ELV systems.
• Assist in budget planning for AV/ELV projects, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and within financial constraints.
• Procure necessary equipment and materials , ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Track expenses and ensure the project stays within budget by monitoring costs and looking for ways to optimize resource allocation.
