AVEIR Education & Clinical Specialist Emerging Markets-Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) This position works out of our UAE location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. About Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Division
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. The AVEIR Education & Clinical Specialist is responsible for both leadless internal education activities & leadless implant support in Emerging Markets region. He/she develops and delivers training programs to bring Abbott staff - across the region - to the right level of knowledge and proficiency to ensure safe implant of Abbott Leadless platform. He/she also provides procedural, technical, clinical, educational and sales leadership to ensure safe adoption and growth of Abbott leadless technology. The AVEIR Education & Clinical Specialist Emerging Markets works in close relationship with EMEA AVEIR HQ team to deliver global educational programs and support regional implants. What You\'ll Do:
  • Adapt & Execute Internal training Global SOP for Abbott field staff to reach the right level of certification across the regions and roles to safely support leadless implants.
  • Support local education initiatives related to leadless portfolio
  • Compile best practices, tips & trick to ensure field staff continuous education in collaboration with the EMEA AVEIR HQ education team
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager AVEIR EMEA and EMEA AVEIR Education to develop internal & external strategies for future product launches within leadless franchise
  • Provide primary case support for initial leadless implants in accordance with the instructions for use, using their deep knowledge of best-practices, clinical data, and comprehensive technical product expertise.
  • Partner with local sales teams to ensure the safe expansion of leadless therapy within their local accounts and transfer of technical expertise to the commercial team.
  • Develop trusting relationships with physician implanters based on demonstrated technical and clinical acumen.
  • Oversee local education and training activities including the coordination, set-up, and content delivery. Facilitate simulated procedures, troubleshooting, and instruction for relevant parties including local Abbott teams, hospital staff, physicians, and clinic personnel.
  • Assist in certifying local Abbott personnel
  • Complete administrative tasks when necessary, such as case tracking and monitoring physician progress through training.
  • Ensures employee compliance with Abbott policies and practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field, engineering, or equivalent/related experience
  • Min 5 years of experience in professional education, preferably with CRM products
  • Fluency in English. Any other language is a plus
  • High-level of comfort in navigating the medical environment, to include labs and hospital settings
  • A comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices
  • Ability to interact with physicians on their clinical practice
  • Clear understanding of medical device industry codes and policies
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others effectively
  • Proven success displaying confidence in leading and influencing customers; ability to confidently provide guidance to course correct as needed
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Emerging Markets Region to support local stakeholders in their efforts to execute plan
  • Ability to prepare and present effectively written and verbal communications.
  • Expert verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and applications, such as, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in great autonomy. Be flexible, creative, curious and challenge status quo
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience with medical device simulators (such as Mentice, CAE healthcare,...) is a plus
  • Experience working on in vivo models is a plus
