The Autonomous Operations Marine Supervisor oversees the marine operations related to autonomous systems, including Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and remotely operated vehicles (eROVs). This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of all marine activities, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of marine personnel. Additionally, the role involves managing crew rotation planning, vessel logistics, and vessel certification processes.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all marine operations involving USVs and eROVs, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.Manage the activities of marine personnel, including USV Chief Operators, eROV Supervisors, and pilot technicians.Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations, flag state requirements, industry standards, and company policies.Oversee the training and certification of marine personnel to maintain high operational standards and readiness.Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for marine activities.Monitor the performance and condition of USVs and eROVs, ensuring regular maintenance and prompt resolution of technical issues.Collaborate with the Autonomous Operations Manager and technical teams to integrate new technologies and improve marine operations.Conduct regular performance evaluations of marine personnel, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for development.Manage crew rotation planning to ensure optimal staffing and operational efficiency.Oversee vessel logistics, including scheduling, provisioning, and maintenance coordination.Ensure all vessels meet certification requirements and maintain up-to-date documentation.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to marine operations, personnel, and equipment.Facilitate effective communication and coordination between marine personnel and other operational teams.Participate in emergency response drills and training to ensure preparedness for maritime emergencies.Qualifications, Education & TrainingBachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations, preferably involving autonomous or remotely operated systems.Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.Proven ability to manage and lead a team of marine personnel.Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for marine operations.Additional SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills for effective marine operations management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and support.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Committed to continuous improvement and keeping abreast of advancements in marine technology.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Working ConditionsOccasional travel may be required for training or to support marine operations at different locations.Disclaimer for recruitment agencies:Fugro does not accept any unsolicited applications from recruitment agencies.
