Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Automobile Technician

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all types of vehicles. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure that all vehicles meet safety standards and operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Diagnostics:

Use diagnostic equipment to inspect and troubleshoot vehicle issues, including engine performance, electrical systems, braking systems, and transmission problems.

Repair and Maintenance:

Perform repairs and replace parts such as engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, and brake components.

Routine Maintenance:

Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.

Parts Replacement and Installation:

Replace worn-out or damaged vehicle parts with high-quality replacement parts, ensuring safety and performance.

Testing and Quality Control:

Test vehicles after repairs to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and that the vehicle is roadworthy.

Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts replaced, and hours worked, ensuring accurate documentation for service history.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Stay Updated:

Continuously update knowledge on automotive technology, tools, and industry trends.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proven experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Mechanical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Attention to Detail:

Ability to identify and address small issues before they become major problems.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues and find effective solutions.

Certification:

Automotive Engineering Degree certification or equivalent is preferred. Additional certifications may be a plus.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing, kneeling, and lifting heavy parts and tools.

Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and staff in a team environment.

Experience:

Proven experience as an automobile technician or mechanic. Experience with various types of vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, and hybrids.

Education:

Mechanical Engineering Degree. Formal training from an automotive technology program (preferred).

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a company or service shop environment. May require working evenings or weekends depending on business requirments.
