Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Interaction:
• Greet customers and determine their automotive service needs.
• Listen attentively to customer concerns and provide accurate service recommendations.
• Offer advice on vehicle maintenance and address any questions or issues related to their vehicle's performance.
• Keep customers updated on service progress, timelines, and any changes to the initial estimate.
• Service Coordination:
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate service needs clearly with technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
• Ensure necessary parts are available for scheduled services and work with the parts department to avoid delays.
• Cost Estimates & Invoicing:
• Provide customers with accurate and transparent cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
• Prepare invoices for completed services and explain charges to customers.
• Discuss any additional services or repairs that may be needed and ensure customer approval before proceeding.
• Customer Satisfaction & Retention:
• Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing top-notch service, clear communication, and professional guidance.
• Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Encourage repeat business by building long-term customer relationships and offering promotions or loyalty programs.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, service history, and repair details.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and complies with company and legal requirements.
• Follow up with customers after services to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Sales & Upselling:
• Promote additional services, special offers, and vehicle accessories to customers.
• Identify opportunities to upsell services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with technicians and the service manager to ensure all services are completed correctly and on time.
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels and ordering parts when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Previous experience in an automotive service role (service advisor, automotive technician, or related) is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: A basic understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in an understandable way.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Sales Skills: Ability to upsell services and parts while maintaining a focus on customer needs.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with service management software, Microsoft Office, and basic computer applications.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose customer needs, identify vehicle issues, and recommend appropriate services.
