The candidate should know how to use diagnostic tools (scanner).
The ability to diagnose all minor and major issues on all kinds of vehicles (engine, transmission, suspension, etc).
Must know how to work on all types of cars, including German, American and European cars.
Candidate should have minimum 3 to 5 Years of Experience in UAE.
High School diploma or the equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
General mechanical skills.
Role Purpose:The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality automotive services by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems. The Automotive Technician will work to ensure that all vehicles are properly serviced and running at peak performance.Key Responsibilities:Vehicle Diagnostics:
Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and diagnose problems with vehicles electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
Perform computer diagnostics and interpret fault codes to identify issues in the engine, transmission, suspension, and other vehicle systems.
Maintenance Services:
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, brake inspections, air filter replacement, and alignment.
Inspect various systems of the vehicle, including the engine, suspension, transmission, brakes, and exhaust, and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
Repairs & Replacements:
Perform repairs on vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.
Replace faulty parts, including spark plugs, timing belts, batteries, alternators, and other essential components.
Overhaul or rebuild engines or other major mechanical systems when necessary.
Electrical & Electronics Systems:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues such as malfunctioning alternators, batteries, wiring, and sensors.
Diagnose and repair issues in the vehicle's computer and electrical control systems, including ABS, airbags, and climate control systems.
Install electrical systems or modifications as required, such as lighting systems or entertainment units.
Test & Inspection:
Conduct test drives to verify the functionality of repairs and maintenance work.
Perform post-repair inspections to ensure that all work complies with safety and performance standards.
Customer Communication:
Interact with customers to explain vehicle issues, necessary repairs, and preventative maintenance needs.
Provide cost estimates for repairs and services and ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance:
Properly maintain, clean, and store tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
Report any defective tools or equipment to management.
Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately record all work performed, parts replaced, and services provided.
Maintain detailed service records for vehicles, including maintenance schedules and history.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow safety procedures while working with machinery, tools, and automotive systems to avoid accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for vehicle maintenance and repair.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and repair methods.
Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models, as well as advanced diagnostic tools, is preferred.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive repair preferred.
Certifications:
ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is highly preferred.
Any manufacturer-specific certifications or additional certifications in automotive repair are an advantage.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
Ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues and perform repairs efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for customer interaction and team collaboration.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects, work in a physically demanding environment, and stand or kneel for long periods.
Comfortable working with various types of automotive machinery and tools.
