Job Summary:
The Automobile Service Contract Sales Specialist is responsible for selling service contracts and extended warranties to customers. This role involves engaging with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs, and offering appropriate service contract solutions to enhance their vehicle ownership experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, a deep understanding of automotive services, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales and Customer Engagement:
• Proactively contact potential customers through leads, referrals, and inbound inquiries.
• Explain the benefits and features of service contracts and extended warranties.
• Tailor service contract offerings to meet the specific needs and preferences of customers.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas on a consistent basis.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service contracts promptly.
• Product Knowledge and Training:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive service contract products and industry trends.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Educate customers and colleagues about service contract offerings and benefits.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare and process sales contracts and related paperwork accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and contract details.
• Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive service contracts and extended warranties.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus.
