Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman with expertise in fire protection systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for fire protection systems using AutoCAD. This role requires an understanding of fire protection principles, codes, and standards to ensure that all designs are compliant with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

:

Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and emergency lighting. Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and safety standards. Review and interpret project specifications, fire codes, and design documents. Modify and update drawings based on project changes and revisions. Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documentation. Coordinate with the team to ensure timely delivery of design documents.

Requirements

:

Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, specifically with fire protection systems. Strong knowledge of fire protection design, codes, and regulations (NFPA, local fire codes, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other relevant design software. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Attention to detail and accuracy in drawing and design work. Good communication and collaboration skills. A degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Previous experience working with fire protection engineering firms or contractors.
