Job Description

As an AutoCAD Draftsman , you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for a variety of projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to develop technical plans and ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings (2D/3D) based on project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and design intent.
• Review and revise existing drawings and blueprints to meet project changes and requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all technical drawings.
• Create layout plans, elevations, sections, and other detailed drawings for construction or design purposes.
• Maintain organized files of completed drafts and design revisions.
• Follow project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely submission of drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and other regulations.
• Coordinate with other team members to address design issues and provide solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, material lists, and project documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or certification in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (2+ years) as an AutoCAD Draftsman, Drafter, or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD software (both 2D and 3D), and other design software like Revit, SketchUp, or SolidWorks (a plus).
• Knowledge of drafting standards, building codes, and construction processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
• Good understanding of design concepts, materials, and construction methods.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
