Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our interior design and fitout team. The ideal candidate will create accurate and detailed technical drawings for interior design projects, including space planning, layouts, elevations,mep, and joinery details. The role requires close collaboration with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure that designs are executed effectively and meet client requirements and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Drawings Creation: Prepare detailed technical drawings and floor plans for interior design and fitout projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• 3D Visualization & Renderings: Assist in creating 3D models and visualizations using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant tools to help clients and team members visualize the final design.
• Design Development: Work with interior designers and architects to convert conceptual designs into technical drawings, including furniture layouts, lighting plans, and joinery details.
• Coordinate with Project Teams: Collaborate with the project manager and site team to ensure that designs are feasible and meet project requirements. Incorporate feedback from site visits into designs as needed.
• Client Presentations: Prepare and present design drafts and plans for client approval, making revisions as required.
• Code Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all designs comply with relevant local building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines.
• Material Specifications: Assist in the selection and detailing of materials, finishes, and fittings based on design specifications and client preferences.
• Documentation Management: Maintain organized and updated design documentation, ensuring that all revisions are tracked and reflected in project files.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to gather measurements, inspect progress, and resolve any discrepancies between design and construction.
• Time Management: Meet project deadlines and manage workloads efficiently to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a draftsman in an interior design and fitout environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design tools. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and detail in every design aspect.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams, clients, and contractors.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and provide effective solutions throughout the design process.
• Time Management: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of Building Codes: Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and construction standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED (2,500.00- 3500.00) per month
