Job title: Auto Mechanic

Experience: 2-3 years (UAE)

Location: Dubai

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks) Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job o Keep logs on work and issues Inspecting parts for defects and performing basic repairs such as changing the oil or replacing spark plugs Installing new transmission components such as fluid lines or filters to repair vehicles Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a car Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be made. Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil, and rotating tires Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a car Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms. In-depth knowledge of engine components and operational mechanisms Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools Road tests vehicle when required or refers to test technician. Documents work performed and recommended on the repair order. Attends manufacturer-sponsored training classes. o Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
