Job Summary:

The Heavy Vehicles Electrical Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers, construction machinery, and other equipment. The role requires expertise in troubleshooting wiring, lighting, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and computerized control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic issues in heavy vehicles. Inspect and test electrical wiring, circuits, and components using diagnostic tools. Install, repair, and maintain alternators, starters, batteries, and lighting systems. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle control units, sensors, and electronic modules. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform preventive maintenance and ensure all electrical systems function properly. Calibrate and program electronic control units (ECUs) and onboard computers. Identify and replace faulty components, fuses, and relays. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or certification in Automotive Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum

3 years

of experience in heavy vehicle electrical repair and maintenance. Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting methods. Experience with CAN bus systems, ECU diagnostics, and electrical testing tools. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy components. Valid UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with brands like

Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, MAN, or Caterpillar

(if applicable). Knowledge of

fleet management systems, GPS trackers, and telematics

construction, transportation, or industrial sectors
