Job Description

:
Our construction company is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Authority Engineer to manage the coordination and acquisition of all required approvals from relevant authorities for our construction projects. The Authority Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and municipal requirements, working closely with design and project teams to facilitate a smooth project approval process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with UAE authorities such as the Municipality, Civil Defense, and other relevant regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project execution.
• Review project designs, drawings, and documents to ensure they meet all applicable regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Prepare and submit applications, project plans, and supporting documentation required by various authorities for project approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track and follow up on approval processes, ensuring timely submissions and responses to avoid project delays.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in local regulations, codes, and standards that may impact current and future projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections with authority representatives, as needed, to ensure compliance with approved plans.
• Maintain accurate records of all approval documents, communications, and timelines.
• Provide guidance and support to project managers and other team members regarding authority requirements and approval processes.
• Handle any queries or objections from authorities and resolve issues in a timely manner to facilitate project progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in obtaining and coordinating authority approvals in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements, building codes, and regulatory procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with regulatory bodies and project stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and documentation in relation to regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with project management and CAD software is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple approval processes simultaneously.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
