The main purpose of this position is to test, diagnose and perform minor/ major electronic, electrical and electro/mechanical repairs on AFC, Communication, OCS system equipment and sub modules installed on Dubai Metro stations, trains, depots and car parks in addition to general power supplies and systems agreed with client. To perform overhauling and complex repairs on AFC Bank Note acceptors, Wide flap, coin acceptor and similar systems including bill/coin set upgrade, firmware upgrade with calibration.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out diagnostic tests, trace circuits and minor/major electronic, electrical and mechanical repairs on the electronic/electrical modules, power supplies or boards coming out faulty from ATC&S equipment installed in Dubai Metro network and as agreed with client.
Ensure proper upkeep of maintenance rigs and test platform in the Repair Shop.
Time to time undergo enhanced repair and services related trainings appropriate to the responsibilities.
Perform overhauling, complex repairs and upgrades on BNA, coin acceptors, wide flaps and similar modules.
Ensure quality repairs with proper and accurate upkeep of records.
Assist and provide information to TL for preparing various reports like daily shift report, monthly fixed fee report, material consumption report.
Follow the appropriate maintenance procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with the requirements;
Software , firmware and BIOS configuration for different electronic modules.
Use complex special tools like PIC programmer, EFT Master Pin Pad, Sodeco tool, Phoenix coin tool, CHS and PLC tool.
Use the maintenance tools & equipment in Repair Shop and keep them in good condition.
Update maintenance records of Engineering & Maintenance performance, work accomplished and other information using available management system.
Implement and follow Permit To Work process if required.
Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Repair Shop TL/Supervisor.
Perform Team Leader duties to fill-in in his/her absence, if delegated.
Maintain competency and trainings to provide mainline maintenance services (when required) for regular PM and CM on AFC and CCTV system assets.
Immediately report and apply contingency plan when any lapses or shortcoming observed during routine working.
Ensure compliance with the Keolis-MHI Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards.
Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Keolis-MHI non-disclosure policy.
To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Keolis-MHI organisational HSE responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Keolis-MHI and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment.
Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process.
KEY SKILLS
Must have good eyesight and normal colour vision.
Strong analytical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of an incident.
Ability to use and operate repair instruments like soldering/de-soldering machines, oscilloscope, scope meter, multi meter, LAN tester, regulated power supplies, 3D printer etc.
Ability to use and calibrate various electronic test equipment, repair instruments and PC for the repair job.
Ability to write simple technical reports, prepare method statements and drawings as required.
Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Ability to work under stressful environment and solve the problems on the spot.
Thorough understanding of all aspects of AFC, power supplies and communication system existing metro or rail networks.
Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 year work experience as a qualified electrical, mechanical or electronics technician for AFC, CCTV or COMMs system in DM comprising of:
xe2x97x8f Automatic Fare collection system with Automatic Gates, TVM, TOM, PCM and station servers. xe2x97x8f IP based CCTV system with network video recorders. xe2x97x8f Railway/Metro Communication & OCS System comprising of PAS, PIS, Telephone, SCADA, OBS, DVVR , MSN, FON etc. * Experience in complex mainboards chip and component level repairing and recovering failures is highly preferable.
Experience in BNA repairs and overhaul is highly preferable
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFCATION
Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical, mechanical or electronics engineering discipline or equivalent.
