Job Description
Novus Executives are currently working with a Global Investor who are looking for an experienced professional to join their Special Situations team at the Associate level in Abu Dhabi.The team has flexible mandate to invest in various parts of the capital structure during special situations, acquire ownership stakes in alternative asset managers, and offer tailored solutions for general partners and limited partners in secondary market transactions.As an Associate you will be part of an active deal team assisting in the new investments from origination to execution and the asset management of a portfolio of assets.The ideal candidate will bring:
- A Bachelor\'s degree in business management, finance, economics or equivalent
- Preferably a Master\'s degree from a top-tier, internationally recognized higher education institution or a financial certification (e.g. CFA, CPA, CAIA)
- 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, alternative asset management, stressed debt, or a related field. Current or previous focus on special situations, capital solutions or tactical opportunities is a strong plus
- Very strong technical ability
- Broad understanding of instruments such as equity, preferred equity, convertible bonds, structured credit or equity and credit
