Assistant Project Control Engineer**

**Qatar**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Assistant Project Control Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to perform on analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining project controls functions on a portfolio of project.

**What You'll be Doing:**

+ Supporting the tracking, updating, and monitoring of cost control and scheduling functions on smaller projects or assisting a more senior Project Control Engineer/Specialist on larger projects.

+ Typical responsibilities involve various ancillary project controls tasks. While the incumbent may undertake some higher-level cost analysis and related assignments, this work does not occupy enough time to warrant exempt status.

+ The Project Control Engineer/Specialist may further their experience by rotating through Estimating, Cost Engineering, and Planning/Scheduling assignments.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 5+ years of related work experience.

+ Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related field.

+ Understanding of Project Control principles for major programs.

+ Proficient PC skills including a working knowledge of various Project Controls software, Microsoft Office Suite, and PowerBI.

+ Eagerness to improve and expand technical knowledge where appropriate.

+ Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Ability to independently analyze data stored in project management and cost control systems, creating presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.

+ Capability to assist with updating the system with cost forecasts and implementing and maintaining an Earned Value Management System on the project.

+ Proficiency in analyzing cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI) and preparing and maintaining project forecasts and status updates.

+ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the capability to provide assessments with corrective action recommendations to management.

+ Willingness to provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in resolving project control problems.
