Description The Department of Cognitive Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position in Psychology (assistant/associate professor). The area of specialization is open but applicants with proven expertise in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Cross-Cultural Psychology will be of particular interest. Candidates must have a strong research background and/or an established program of research with evidence of publications in Scopus linked journals. The Department of Cognitive Sciences at UAEU is dynamic and diverse, with excellent research facilities. We seek a collegial and talented colleague in the discipline of Psychology. The UAEU is located in Al Ain city (Emirate of Abu Dhabi), on the border with Oman and about 1\.5 hours' drive from the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The UAEU offers an attractive tax-free salary, free housing, medical insurance, and annual return airfares to the country of origin for expatriate employees and their immediate families. There is also a modest relocation allowance, as well as other benefits, including an education subsidy for children. Minimum Qualification



Applicants must have earned a bachelor's and a doctoral degree in Psychology from an internationally reputable university.



Preferred Qualification



Preference may be given to applicants who (1\) have completed recognized professional development courses in the provision of third level education and (2\) relevant practical experience in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Cross-Cultural Psychology.



Expected Skills



The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent publication track record commensurate with career stage, and a demonstrable ability to attract competitive funding. The language of instruction at UAEU is English and applicants need to have native or near-native fluency in English.
