The Role We are seeking an Associate Director of Technical Design to join our growing team in Dubai. This is a senior technical leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of Technical Design. This is not a design role. The conceptual design of projects will already be complete. Your responsibility is to take the design from schematic through to IFC (Issue for Construction), ensuring all drawings and documentation are fully coordinated, technically sound, and construction:ready. Key Responsibilities * Lead the technical development of architectural projects from schematic design to IFC stage. * Coordinate across all disciplines (architecture, MEP, structural, etc.) to ensure integrated, clash:free design documentation. * Manage and oversee the production of all technical drawings, specifications, and documentation required for construction. * Ensure compliance with UAE codes, regulations, and authority requirements. * Act as the key technical liaison between the design team, consultants, and contractors. * Maintain design intent while optimizing for buildability, accuracy, and construction efficiency. * Guide and mentor junior technical staff within the team. Requirements * Bachelor of Architecture, Masters preffered. * Proven experience delivering high:end architectural projects through to construction in the UAE. * Strong technical leadership skills, with a deep understanding of construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination. * 15+ years of experience in technical delivery roles, ideally within the UAE market. * Background in architecture or engineering, with a solid grasp of local authority processes.
